Custom Built 1956 Chevy Nomad Wagon “Wanderer”

Jim & Melissa Boitnoitt’s custom built 1956 Chevy Nomad a.k.a “The Wanderer” was one of the few displayed at the 2016 NSRA Street Rod Nationals car show and definitely attracted a lot of attention with its uniqueness.

There a lot of cool body mods done to it with the shaved hood, narrowed bumpers and custom one piece window being the most noticeable along with the custom mixed Green & Cream pearl paint by the House of Kolor.

“The Wanderer” 1956 Chevy Wagon sits on Roadster Shop chassis, it is lowered 6-inches on adjustable coilovers and spins a big American Racing wheels wrapped in low profile Pirelli GT tires.

The Forrest Green leather interior of this custom built ’56 Chevrolet Nomad nicely matches the body color theme and combined with the Pro Car seats, Billet Specialties steering wheel, Dakota Digital gauges and more little custom touches equals to a stunning hot rod interior.

Of course the engine bay is detailed to perfection and fitted with a Rob Morse built 429 cubic inch 2015 Chevrolet LS3 V8 engine with Borla 8-Stack EFI and tons of upgrades rated at over 600 horsepower sent trough a 4L60E transmission from Coan Engineering.
